Calvin Mattson

Professional

I'm a controls engineer who builds mass-production machinery — PLCs, HMIs, vision, robots, and everything that has to work together on the plant floor at three in the morning.

I'm a Senior Automation Engineer at OPmobility (formerly Plastic Omnium), working on blow-molded fuel tank programs for automakers across North America. Over more than 15 years I've written PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robot programs, led a team of automation engineers, run Industry 4.0 rollouts across two continents, and designed bidirectional EV charging and battery storage systems.
